Tasmota and MCP23017 Switch State actually

Good evening, I am using Tasmota 15.1 in conjunction with an MCP23017 in Mode2. And I am only using the 16 inputs. When I connect the IO to the GND, the states in the console are also changed. For all 16x switches individually. Now my question is: how can I set Tasmota to send the changed status immediately via MQTT instead of only after the teleperiod 300?

Not sure what exactly you see in the console. Anyway, if it really is mode 2, and inputs configured as Switch (instead of Button), with standard Tasmota switch processing you can enable SetOption114 to get MQTT messages instead of actions coupled with local relays (etc).

In general, you should not base processing of inputs like switches or buttons on the /SENSOR payloads, no matter if it is local or backend processing.
